“The scrotum and labia originate from the same embryonic structure called the labio-scrotal bulge. Twin dorsal erectile tissues called “corpora cavernosa” are found in the penis and clitoris. Both the head of the penis and the clitoris (glans) originate from the embryonic genital tubercle.” Ken Saladin, Professor Emeritus of Biology.
Unlike the penis, the clitoris does not contain the urethra and is therefore not used for urination. The urethra has its own nerves, which are different from those of the clitoris, and the evacuation of urine takes place through an orifice separate from the clitoris, just below the glans. Unlike the penis, the clitoris has no reproductive function.
What they have in common is that they allow us to feel pleasure, to connect to each other, to live, to share our sexual and tantric energies.
